history

g-lime ® is produced at the Batesford Quarry, the quarry that supplied the Geelong Cement plant with limestone for over 100 years until cement production ceased in 2001.

In 1995 a trial production of crushed and screened agricultural limestone was undertaken, and field trials conducted with great success. However issues relating to the closure of the cement plant then took priority and it was not until 2002 that production of agricultural lime was commenced in earnest.

g-lime ® received immediate market place success and in 2004 sales had built to an extent that allowed investment in a b-double weighbridge which enabled the accurate loading of vehicles to maximum payloads. In 2005 a major investment was made to replace the production plant that has allowed the business to supply crushed limestone into other markets.

In 2007 additional products were introduced; g-lime ® plus magnesium, g-lime ® plus trace elements and BioAgPhos made available for pick up from our quarry.

The g-lime ® business is well positioned to continue to take advantage of peak demand periods and growth into agricultural and other markets.
